MYCOAT® 2628 resin

MYCOAT® 2628 resin by allnex is a very effective, hydrophobic, cross-linking agent for backbone polymers containing hydroxyl, carboxyl or amide functional groups. It is an imino type methylated and butylated mixed ether type of supplied in iso-propyl glycol. It does not require a strong acid catalyst for fast cure response. This additive imparts excellent adhesion and chemical resistance to the coating. It possesses limited light resistance properties, fast low temperature cure response and lower free formaldehyde content. MYCOAT® 2628 resin shows very good compatibility with acrylic-, alkyd-, epoxy- and polyester resins. It offers good balance of hardness and flexibility. It is suitable for a wide range of general industrial heat cure finishes, providing high detergent resistance properties. It is designed for general industrial coating for primer and water-based external can coatings. The shelf life of this product is one year.
