MYCOAT® 106 resin

MYCOAT® 106 resin by allnex is methylated benzoguanamine-formaldehyde-based crosslinking agent in 2-n-butoxy ethanol (n-butyl cellosolve) with high imino functions. It does not require a strong acid catalyst for fast cure response. The formulation by using this product and water-soluble backbone resin can get high gloss film like solvent-borne type. It possesses hydrophilic group & excellent retort resistance and high cure response & phenyl group. This grade displays superior water & retort resistance and good balance of hardness & flexibility. It offers high water resistance, lower free formaldehyde and high flexibility. It shows excellent compatibility with resin and low blistering tendency. Recommended for general industrial coating for primer and water-borne external can coatings. MYCOAT® 106 resin is effective for backbone polymers containing hydroxyl, carboxyl or amide functional groups such as epoxy, alkyd/polyester or acrylic resins. The shelf life of this product is 1 year.
