Patinal® Substance H1

Patinal® Substance H1 by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt Germany is an evaporation material based on titanium zirconium oxide mixture for high refractive index thin films. It offers high purity, low spitting and high batch-to-batch consistency. Compared to zirconium dioxide, the material melts and is therefore easier to evaporate and forms very homogeneous layers without a refractive index gradient.

• It is mainly used in (AR) anti-reflective and other multilayer coatings in the visible spectroscopy (VIS) and infrared (IR) spectral range.
• It is recommended for optical and functional coatings.
• Patinal® Substance H1 is used in coatings on plastic substrates.
