Bentone® MA

Bentone® MA by Elementis is purified hectorite clay-based rheological additive designed for use in waterborne coatings and other systems. It imparts thixotropy and good anti-settling properties. It provides good thermo stable aqueous phase viscosity control, system stability and electrolyte tolerance. It enhances texturing & stippling effects and reduces syneresis.

• It prevents hard settlement of pigments/fillers.
• It minimizes floating/flooding of pigments and stabilizes emulsions.
• It can be incorporated as powder or as an aqueous pre-gel.
• Bentone® MA is used for applications like latex paints, electro-deposition paints, foundry resins/foundry paints (washes), household cleaners, polishes, plaster compounds, water reducible systems, ceramic coatings and inks.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.3-3.0%.
• It has a shelf life of 4 years.
