Bentone® DH

Bentone® DH by Elementis is a pure hectorite clay based rheological additive that is crystalline silica-free. It is designed for low to zero VOC waterborne decorative latex paints. It is highly efficient low-shear thickener. It imparts in-can viscosity and reproducible thixotropic flow.

• It prevents hard settlement of pigments/fillers.
• It is very easy to process.
• It provides superior sag resistance and excellent suspension.
• It reduces phase separation and improves storage stability.
• It shows no influence on scrub resistance.
• It is compatible with synthetic resin dispersions, non-ionic & anionic wetting agents, coalescents and all other classes of thickeners.
• It can be incorporated as powder or as an aqueous pre-gel.
• It is easier to disperse than most clay-based products.
• Recommended usage level is 0.1-0.4%.
• It has a shelf life of 18 months.
