Afcona -5281

Afcona -5281 by Afcona Additives is a high molecular weight, solvent-free, block copolymer-based wetting and dispersing agent for solvent-based industrial coatings. It has high solid content, making it suitable for low-VOC coatings. It offers lower grinding viscosity and better compatibility especially in NC, CAB and other difficult resins systems. It is also effective for organic & carbon black pigments. Afcona -5281 can be used as sole dispersant in pigment concentrate preparation or used as post-added additive to achieve better pigments stability upon storage. It can be combined with other high molecular weight dispersants (Afcona -4071 or Afcona -4701) to achieve good dispersing systems for better cost or better compatible pigment paste. The recommended dosage level for TiO₂ is 2-3%, other inorganic pigments is 2-4%, organic pigments is 20-40% and carbon black is 20-60%. The shelf life of the grade is 3 years.
