Afcona -2050

Afcona -2050 by Afcona Additives is silicone-free defoamer for all solvent-based coatings. It shows anti-foam performances with good compatibility in selective resins. It eliminates foam and blistering, irrespective of whether the air bubbles are caused by the substrate. Afcona -2050 is applicable for nitrocellulose lacquers, acid-cured wood finishes and printing inks. It is applied for spraying or brushing and cold cured epoxy resin systems, as well as unsaturated polyester systems (SMC, BMC, and gel coats). It can be diluted in SBP/PMA spirit. The recommended dosage level is 0.1-1.0% and under normal conditions, the dosage level is 0.20-0.50% based on total formulation. The shelf-life of the grade is 5 years.
