Afcona -2045T

Afcona -2045T by Afcona Additives is a silicone-based defoamer for solvent-based coatings. It prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and airless spray brush and roller applications. It combines with very strong defoaming properties and good transparent appearance which makes it important in polyurethane coatings. Afcona -2045T can replace the old fashion middle range defoamers like Afcona -2025, Afcona -2035, and Afcona -2040 as it gives better compatibility especially in polyurethane clear coat systems. It is used for wood-, plastic-, car refinish- and stoving paints for industrial epoxy systems. It is also used in NC lacquer and acid curing. It can be diluted in aliphatic hydrocarbon. Recommended dosage level is 0.1-0.7% and under normal conditions is 0.2-0.5% based on total formulation. The shelf-life of the grade is 5 years.
