Afcona -2024

Afcona -2024 by Afcona Additives is silicone-free defoamer with leveling performances for all solvent-based coatings. It is suitable for two-component polyurethane lacquers except for high gloss clear, which are applied by spraying or brushing. It is compatible with cold cured epoxy resins and unsaturated polyester systems (SMC, BMC and gel coats). Afcona -2024 is designed for printing inks, nitrocellulose lacquers and acid-cured wood finishes especially those applied by curtain coaters. It eliminates foam and blistering, regardless of whether the air bubbles are caused by the substrate. It can be diluted in SBP/PMA spirit. Recommended dosage level is 0.1- 1.0% and under normal conditions, the dosage level is 0.20-0.50% based on total formulation. The shelf life of this grade is 5 years.
