SONGSORB® CS 900

SONGSORB® CS 900 by Songwon is a 2-[2-Hydroxy-3,5-di(1,1-dimethylbenzyl)phenyl]-2H-benzotriazole. Acts as a strong absorber of ultraviolet radiation in the 300~400nm region. Has a high degree of photostability - photochemical energy absorbed in the ultraviolet region is dissipated as thermal energy. It has a low volatility, which makes it especially suitable for high performance applications involving high temperature processing and/or extreme environmental stresses. SONGSORB® CS 900 can be used in combination with light stabilizers of the HALS class (e.g SONGSORB®CS 292) and this formulation gives automotive coatings superior protection against gloss reduction, cracking, blistering, delamination and color change. SONGSORB® CS 900 applications include PET fibers and films, polycarbonate, POM, nylon, polyolefins, TPE, TPO, and coatings (automotive coatings, coal coatings, powder coatings).
