RHEOBYK® -425

RHEOBYK® -425 by BYK is a VOC- and APEO-free rheology modifier thats effectiveness is primarily based on the associative interaction with the dispersion particles of the aqueous binder. It enables a highly pronounced pseudoplastic flow behavior. The urea modification of the additive also causes an increase in the rheological effect via hydrogen bonds. It does not impair gloss.

• It offers improved anti-sagging properties, anti-settling properties and dispersion conditions.
• It improves the storage stability and sets the required in-can viscosity of the formulation.
• It is used in aqueous coatings and printing inks.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.1-2% based upon the total formulation.
• RHEOBYK® -425 has shelf life of 24 months.
