Afcona -4597

Afcona -4597 by Afcona Additives is a high molecular weight, dispersing agent for water-based applications. It offers good water resistance, prevents negative flocculation effects (flooding & floating) and stabilizes pigments through effective steric hindrance and electrical repulsion. Afcona -4597 is suitable for manufacturing resin-free pigment concentrates providing high gloss, lower viscosities, stable dispersions, high color strength along with good storage stability. It is also used in deflocculation of pigments in decorative as well as industrial paints. The recommended dosage level for TiO₂ is 4-5%, other inorganic pigments is 8-12%, organic pigments is 12-30%, carbon black is 50-60% and for transparent iron oxides is 10-15%. The stability of the product is 3 years.
