Afcona -4474

Afcona -4474 by Afcona Additives is acrylate-based polymeric dispersant especially for TiO₂ dispersion in oil-free polyester/melamine systems. In coil and can coating applications, the use of Afcona -4474 in TiO₂ dispersions increases the whiteness as well as the hiding power of the coatings. It also reduces the viscosity of the system to achieve higher pigment loading. It is designed for acid curing system and industrial baking paints. It can be diluted in methoxy propyl acetate/butyl acetate. Recommended dosage level for TiO₂ is 2-3%, other inorganic pigments is 2-4%, organic pigments is 20-40% and for carbon black is 20-60%. The shelf life is 5 years.
