Afcona -2036

Afcona -2036 by Afcona Additives is a silicon-based moderate defoamer polymer modified with fluorocarbon. It prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application. Afcona -2036 is applicable for medium viscosity and is applied by spray and brush. It is suitable for systems ranging from low polarity to high polarity. It is designed for air and physical drying systems, which are based on acrylic, vinyl, or chlorinated polymers. It is used for wood-, plastic-, car refinish-, NC lacquers- and acid curing for general industrial coatings. It can be diluted in MIBK (methyl isobutyl ketone) spirit. The recommended dosage level is 0.1-1.0% and under normal condition, the dosage level is 0.20-0.40% based on total formulation. The shelf-life of the grade is 5 years.
