Afcona -5290

Afcona -5290 by Afcona Additives is a high molecular weight polymeric dispersant with pigment affinity groups. It offers very good pigment stability & performance, good viscosity reduction and high color strength. It is created for high-solid systems as well as formulation that face VOC limitation. It is suitable for all solvent-based systems ranging from low polar to high polar, including air dry alkyd. Afcona -5290 is an excellent additive for high-solid coatings like polyurethane, epoxy and UV coating as it is supplied in 100% active ingredients. It is 100% solvent-free form making it useful for ink formulations. The recommended dosage level for TiO2 is 2-3%, other inorganic pigments is 2-4%, organic pigments is 20-40% and for carbon black is 20-60%. The shelf life of the product is 5 years.
