ADDAPT® BioWet™ 450C

ADDAPT® BioWet™ 450C by ADDAPT Chemicals is a readily biodegradable, VOC-free wetting- and levelling agent for aqueous systems. It is a proprietary blend of polyalkylene glycols in water and surface-active compounds. It improves wet-edge (open time) and flow in emulsion paints and lacquers. It is very effective against formation of pin-holes, pores and mud cracks in textured masonry coatings and renders (putze). ADDAPT® BioWet™ 450C functions as an excellent carrier for water-soluble chemicals that have to be placed on/in hydrophobic surfaces. Exhibits a low surface tension values (under both dynamic and static conditions) and a high surface energy that leads to an excellent wetting of the coating without an increase of the water absorption (low COBB value). It provides pigment grinding efficiency and reduction of pigment particle size. It shows excellent compatibility with K-silicate and silicones. It is suitable for water-based systems such as paper coatings/impregnation, printing inks and overprint varnishes (OPV). The recommended dosage level is 0.05-2.0 wt% based on total formulation.
