Valérie holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Zurich (ETHZ), as well as a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Sustainability Management from the University of Applied Sciences of Geneva (HEG-GE). She started her career with DuPont in Regulatory Affairs dealing with European Regulations (REACH, CLP), then became involved in regional Product Stewardship and Regulatory at Chemours. Since 2021 she focuses on Product Sustainability issues (EU Green Deal, LCA, ecolabel) for Chemours Titanium Technologies as a member of the Product Sustainability and Regulatory team.
Steven De Backer holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry. After 5 years of service in the quality department of a pharmaceutical company, he joined DuPont Belgium (now Chemours). For the past 17 years at Chemours, Steven has worked as a formulating chemist for waterborne automotive coatings and as a senior technical consultant for the Ti-Pure™ brand. Steven is currently Senior Innovation Consultant for the EMEA region where he focuses on technical customer support and the development of new offerings.
