Silicone Fluids are the Most Preferred Slip Additive to Meet Product Durability Requirements

SpecialChem / Jan 2, 2014

Slip additives enhance the durability of coated and printed surfaces. The addition of a slip additive in a coating formulation enables two surfaces to glide over each other upon physical contact. The slippery surface provides mar resistance, abrasion resistance, and anti-blocking protection properties. Formulators can choose to use a liquid or solid slip additive. However, the slip additive must be able to migrate to the surface in order to be effective.
