Hauthane L-3466

Hauthane L-3466 by Hauthaway is an aliphatic, silicone-modified, polyester-based, water-borne polyurethane dispersion designed for architectural coatings. It is suitable for topcoat applications where slip- and abrasion resistance properties are required. It contains a non-fugitive silicone component that provides low surface tension characteristics on flexible and rigid substrates including leather, plastics, metals and textiles. It also demonstrates exceptional dye transfer resistance in automotive leather seating and dry-erase, white board applications when crosslinked. It has exceptional dye transfer resistance and is cross-linkable for improved adhesion and performance. It may be formulated into low surface tension coatings. It contains n-ethyl pyrrolidone(NEP) as a co-solvent. In Hauthane L-3466, rheology modifications can be made with associative thickeners for alternative application methods. It may be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions for spray or rotogravure applications.
