Phenoxy PK™ HW-35

Phenoxy PK™ HW-35 by Huntsman is an anionically-stabilized and colloidal dispersion of phenoxy resin. It is an amorphous, tough and ductile thermoplastic polymer that exhibits excellent thermal stability, good adhesive strength and very good vapor barrier properties. It can be crosslinked by reacting its hydroxyl functional groups with isocyanates, melamine resins and phenolic resins. It is compatible with waterborne polyurethanes and acrylics at pH greater than 6.5 and incompatible with acidic materials. It offers excellent flexibility and surface hardness. It contains 12% volatile organic compounds including non-HAP ethylene glycol butyl ether and dimethylethanolamine by weight. Phenoxy PK™ HW-35 is suitable for water-based thermosets- and plural component coatings. It meets 21 CFR 175.300 US FDA requirements for use in food contact and packaging applications. It complies with TSCA, DSL, PICCS, AICS, ENCS/MITI and IECSC regulations. It has a shelf life of one year.
