PRIMAL™ BINDER U-51 by Dow Chemical is a waterborne anionic dispersion of an aliphatic urethane polymer. forms a thermoplastic film that is soft, yet tough and exhibits medium tensile strength, high flexibility, and good hydrolytic stability. physical properties of basecoats formulated with PRIMAL™ BINDER U-51 include high yellowing resistance, very good adhesion and excellent print retention. It is designed especially for use as a basecoat for automotive and furniture leather. It can also be used as a topcoat for corrected-grain leathers.
