Glascol® LS24

Aqueous microemulsion based on carboxylated acrylic copolymers. Used in water-based inks for paper/corrugated paper and plastic substrates such as polyolefines (polyethylene, polypropylene) and PVC, and in overprint varnishes on paper and plastic substrates. Can be used as a sole binder and as a let-down vegicle in combination with highly hydrophilic resins as pigment grinding vehicle to offer optimum colour development. Requires addition of coalescing solvent to form film. Provides very good clarity, blocking resistance and resistance to organic and water-based materials, good pigment wetting properties, hydrophilic nature of polymer, very good viscosity/pH stability and near linear viscosity/dilution curve. Offers some resilient properties such as improved stability against high shear stress.
