PAT-ADD DA 948 by PATCHAM FZC is a polymeric polyurethane with cationic pigment affinic group. It is a 100% polymeric dispersing agent. It shows strong adsorption properties onto a wide variety of pigment and extender surfaces, including carbon blacks, organic pigments and extenders, contributing to best dispersion stability, low viscosity pigment dispersions and high transparency fir fine particle sized pigments. It prevents floatation and flooding and lowers viscosity of the mill base. It supports providing newtonian flow characteristics pigment concentrates. It provides excellent color development and transparency. It is specially designed for use in EP- and PUR floorings, systems based on polyols, UPR (unsaturated polyester) or thermoplastics, such as used in, PUR foams, plastisols and gel coats. Its applications include solvent-free industrial coatings, pigment concentrates and silk screen printing inks. The optimal amount of PAT-ADD DA 948 is between 6 and 10% calculated on the total weight of pigment concentrate. If used in ready mixed paint or systems, dosages of approx. 0,6 to 3% are suggested. For carbon blacks a dosage of 20 to 60% (active ingredient) on pigment is recommended. It is a REACH compliant.
