Omnivadd SP 5217

Omnivadd SP 5217 by IGM Resins is a low molecular weight, anionic wetting and dispersing additive. It offers enhanced stabilization of inorganic pigments and extenders, in particular titanium dioxide, in solvent-based and solvent-free coatings and printing inks.

• It is designed to reduce the mill base viscosity and therefore improve the hiding power.
• Omnivadd SP 5217 deflocculates pigments by means of steric stabilization leading to short dispersion time and strong viscosity reduction.
• In this way, the flow characteristics are drastically improved and high pigment loading can be achieved.
• It is ideal for acid-catalyzed systems such as coil coatings.
• The dosage level of the grade is 1.50-3% for titanium dioxide, 2.50-5% for inorganic pigments and 0.50-1% for extenders.
• The shelf life of the product is 4 years.
