Omnivadd SP 5207

Omnivadd SP 5207 by IGM Resins is a low molecular weight, multi-purpose wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-based and solvent-free coatings.

It improves pigment wetting & gloss, reduces the time required for the grinding process and stabilizes the pigment dispersion.
It is especially developed for high solid, aromatic-free architectural paints and general industrial coatings to stabilize titanium dioxide, extenders and other inorganic and organic pigments.
It can stabilize white-base paints with better color acceptance and do not demonstrate flooding and floating when tinted with universal colorants.
It is suitable to formulate pigment concentrates based on long-oil alkyds.
Omnivadd SP 5207 offers improved suspension stability, color strength, opacity, low viscosity and higher pigment loading.
When used in whites, it will improve the co-stabilization of added organic tinting or toning bases resulting in reduced risk of pigment separation.
It has broad solvent compatibility and is suitable for use in both alcohol- and acetate-reduced nitrocellulose printing inks and pigmented bases.
It is well-suited to packaging flexographic applications.
The dosage level of the grade is 0.8-1.5% for titanium dioxide, 3-5% for inorganic pigments and 5-9% on organic pigments and carbon blacks.
