METHOCEL™ K4M by IFF's Nutrition & Biosciences is an excellent thickener. It acts as a rheology modifier, binder, lubricant, film former and water retention aid. It offers improved adhesion, spreadability, homogeneity and elastic to brittle viscosity builder. It is based on low substitution hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC). It provides gelation, reversible gelation with heating and rheology control. It prevents friction through high lubricity. It exhibits crosslink-ability for high retentive gels wide range of pH stability and water-binding properties. METHOCEL™ K4M improves workability and water retention for coatings and inks.
