Additive 4101

Additive 4101 by Harmony Additives is an environmentally friendly, mixture of oil derivatives blended with pine oil. It is an emulsifier-free additive containing polar as well as non-polar functional groups. It allows water incorporation in an oil-based coating system. It is compatible with all types of alkyd resins used for decorative primers and enamels. Addition of Additive 4101 forms a stronger water-alkyd bond resulting in longer stability. It provides high viscosity to the system and thereby reduces settling. Recommended dosage level is 0.3-0.5% w/w on total system permits 18-20% water incorporation.
