Carbon black. Acts as a filler. Is very stable and unaffected by light, acids and alkalis. It is a soft, fine particle size, medium colored carbon pigment. Obtained as soot from incomplete combustion of many different types of organic materials, such as natural gas and oils. Used in dark black coatings and high grade printing inks.
