TEGO® Foamex 8880

TEGO® Foamex 8880 by Evonik is a solvent- & mineral oil-free defoamer for waterborne formulations. It is a non-ionic emulsion of polyether siloxane copolymer and hydrophobic organic polymer, containing fumed silica. It is based on a unique hybrid technology with renewable raw materials and high content of bio-based materials in the non-aqueous phase. It enables formulation of low VOC coatings and inks.

• It offers excellent foam prevention & knockdown.
• It is used in flooring, overprint varnishes and pigmented, flexo & gravure inks that are printed on paper or cardboard substrates.
• It is applied by brush & roller applications, airless- & compressed air spraying and dip-, flow- & curtain coating.
• It is suitable for addition to the let-down stage and at press-side.
• The recommended dosage level is 0.1-10% as supplied, calculated on total formulation.
• It is compliant with numerous food contact and ecolabel regulations.
• TEGO® Foamex 8880 has a shelf life of 24 months.
