Dynasylan® 2201 EQ

Dynasylan® 2201 EQ by Evonik is a 3-ureidopropyltriethoxysilane (50% solution in methanol) grade. Acts as an adhesion promoter. It is a bifunctional organosilane possessing a reactive organic ureido group and a hydrolyzable inorganic triethoxysilyl group. Moreover, it is free from ethylcarbamate and carcinogenic by-products. Binds chemically to both inorganic materials (e.g. glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (e.g. thermosets, thermoplastics, elastomers), thus functioning as a surface modifier. Possesses improved mechanical properties (flexural strength, tensile strength, impact toughness and modulus of elasticity), improved resistance to moisture & corrosion and higher temperature of deflection under load. Available as a colorless liquid. Soluble in alcohols, ketones, esters or aromatic hydrocarbons. Dynasylan® 2201 EQ is suitable for paints and varnishes.
