RHEOLATE® 465

RHEOLATE® 465 by Elementisis a proprietary HASE (hydrophobically modified alkali swellable emulsion). Acts as a rheological agent and thickener. Available as a milky white liquid. Demonstrates both ionic and associative thickening mechanisms with an excellent balance of respective properties. Provides both mid and high-shear rate viscosity with balanced performance for superior package and application properties. Suitable for water-borne architectural coatings (high PVC architectural systems, high gloss & semi-gloss latex paints, low odor & low VOC coatings, matte latex paints, premium interior/ exterior deco coatings, contractor or trade paint systems and water reducible & latex systems) and industrial coatings (coil & roller applied coatings, vacuum & curtain coatings and industrial maintenance coatings). Complies with ISO 9001 / ISO 9002 certificates and TSCA (United States Toxic Substances Control Act Section 8(b) Inventory), DSL (Canadian Domestic Substances List), REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) and EINECS. Typical levels of use are 0.3 to 1% (as delivered), by weight of the system. RHEOLATE® 465 has a shelf life of 2 (two) years from the date of manufacture.
