RHEOLATE® 101

100% Solids, non-freezing, alkali swellable acrylic. Acts as an economical and versatile associative thickener for use in a variety of water-borne systems. Offers high thickening efficiency in the medium-shear-rate range, high mid-shear range viscosity, good anti-settling properties and very good pigment suspension properties. Reduces syneresis, spattering during roller application and paint preparation time. Improves freeze/thaw stability and corrosion resistance. Maintains gloss levels, resists viscosity loss, and re-thickens enzyme-spoiled paint. Exhibits easy incorporation and compatibility with clay-based thickeners. Used for gloss, semi-gloss, matte latex paints, industrial coatings, and water-borne paints containing - acrylic latex, styrene acrylic latex, vinyl acrylic latex, vinyl chloride latex, water-reducible polyester, water-reducible epoxy, and water-based ink systems.
