Disponer 983

Disponer 983 by Elementis is a polymeric wetting and dispersing agent for carbon black pigment in medium polar system. When compared to conventional dispersing agents, it is characterized by its multi-pigment-affinic groups, strong adsorption and thick barrier, especially in preventing dispersed pigments from re-flocculation.

• It does not affect adhesion, water resistance, hardness and weather resistance.
• To improve the wetting of pigments, lowers surface tension between vehicle and pigments, therefore reduced grinding time and lower dispersion viscosity are achieved.
• Finished paint with addition of Disponer 983 shows good color development, hiding power, gloss and eveness.
• It is suitable for medium to high polarity solvent-based system.
• It is recommended for alkyd/ melamine, polyester/ melamine, acrylic/ melamine, polyester polyurethane and PU coating.
• It is used in gravure printing inks and screen printing inks.
• Recommended dosage level is 20-80% for carbon black based on pigments.
• Disponer 983 has a shelf life of 2 years from date of manufacture.
