DOWSIL™ 68 Additive

DOWSIL™ 68 Additive by Dow is a water-based silicon emulsion. Acts as a defoaming agent. It is APEO-free and dilutable with water. Shows excellent foam control and immediate defoaming at low concentration. Readily disperses in water-based inks and coatings. Exhibits good balance between defoaming efficiency and compatibility with the paint formulation. It can be added in the grind/ letdown phase or can even be post-added. Suited for applications where acrylic and polyurethane dispersions are used. Effective at low concentrations between 0.05%-0.5% based upon total formulation. Applications of DOWSIL™ 68 Additive include printing inks, wood coatings and architectural paints.
