DOWSIL™ 57 Additive

DOWSIL™ 57 Additive by Dow is a non-reactive silicone glycol copolymer surfactant supplied at 100 percent active concentration. Acts as a mar resistance and flow/ leveling agent. Provides slip, gloss enhancement, pigment treatment and leveling for ink and coatings applications. It reduces coefficient of friction and aids in pigment dispersing. Compatible with acrylic, alkyd, amide, epoxy, nitrocellulose, phenolic, polyester, polyurethane and vinyl systems. It is effective at low concentrations. DOWSIL™ 57 Additive can be added during the grind, let down or be post-add stage. Recommended usage levels in water-based paint is 0.2-1.0% and solvent-based paint is 0.05-0.2%.
