Deuteron® MM 680

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Deuteron
Combination of organic and inorganic materials. Acts as a matting agent. Apart from the high matting effect, special importance is also attached to a low binder requirement so that the flow properties of the matted system are not af-fected considerably. This leads to a good formulation margin in the processing. Is resistant to aggressive industrial atmosphere. Does not contain any wax additives, thus coating layers equipped with it are not expected to cause any adhesion problems in multi-layer systems or repair coatings. The matting effect induced with DEUTERON MM 680 is highly resistant to mechanical influences ("polishing" or abra-sion). Primarily recommended for use in solvent-based 2-component systems (polyurethane or epoxy-resin lacquers). Beyond that, it is also suitable for other air- and oven-drying systems. Dosage: The dosage to be used depends on the desired degree of gloss. It also depends on the binder and the overall formula-tion. As a guiding value, a concentration of 3 to 6 % in the lacquer component is recommended. If (outside of our recommended use) the product is to be in-tended for use in a solvent-free 2-component system, a mat-ting effect, if at all, can only be achieved with a higher addition (at least 10 %) of DEUTERON MM 680.
