Deuteron® Wax A

Micronized synthetic polyamide wax. Deuteron® Wax A acts as an additive for reduction of gloss and to provide mar resistance. It exhibits a constant fine particle size distribution and good ease of dispersion. Provides excellent heat stability, chemical resistance and hardness. Possesses better recoatability compared with micronized waxes based on polyethylene or polypropylene. Improves water resistance. Retards the settling of pigments and fillers and also assists in their redispersion. Imparts excellent buff resistance and slip properties. Produces a durable semi-gloss finish when used alone or with silica. Improves the sanding of the coating in floor varnishes. In powder coatings the wax is used as a flatting agent. Used in both solvent-based and water-based coatings. Used as a matting agent to produce a mat or silk finish in all types of furniture and wood lacquers. Also used in metal decorative and coil applications.
