CAB-O-SIL® CT-1206

CAB-O-SIL® CT-1206 by Cabot is fumed silica modified with hexamethyldisilazane. The treatment replaces some of the hydroxyls on the surface of the silica resulting in increased hydrophobicity and very different performance than untreated silica. Exhibits high purity, low bulk density and hydrophobic surface chemistry. Has submicron particle size and an aggregate structure. Provides good flow/leveling, sag resistance and anti settling properties. It also acts as a viscosity depressent. Used in inks and coatings.
