DISPERBYK® 2018

DISPERBYK® 2018 by BYK is wetting and dispersing additive for aqueous paint systems. It is a solution of a copolymer with pigment-affinic groups. It is particularly suitable for the production of binder- and VOC-free pigment concentrates for aqueous coatings. It has been specially developed for inorganic pigments and transparent iron oxides, and can partly also be used for organic pigments. DISPERBYK® 2018 is especially recommended for printing inks, pigment concentrates, architectural-, protective-, floor-, wood- and furniture coatings. Recommended for inkjet inks, industrial- and automotive coatings. It is suitable for food contact applications. It is listed with EINECS, ENCS, TSCA and NZIoC. The dosage level is 20-60% for transparent iron oxides, 5-40% for inorganic pigments, 6-8% for titanium dioxide, 30-90% for organic pigments and 100-150% for carbon black. The shelf life of the grade is 36 months.
