DISPERBYK® -2157

DISPERBYK® -2157 by BYK is a VOC- and solvent-free wetting and dispersing agent for both organic and inorganic pigments. It is designed for non-polar solvent-borne and solvent-free inkjet inks, printing inks, protective and architectural coatings as well as PVC plastisols.

• It deflocculates pigments and stabilizes them by means of steric hindrance.
• It increases gloss, optical density, transparency and reduces millbase viscosity to enable a higher pigment content in pigment concentrates.
• DISPERBYK® -2157 is suitable for food contact printing inks.
• Recommended dosage level for coatings is 4-10% for inorganic pigments, 1-4% for titanium dioxide, 10-40% for organic pigments and 15-50% for carbon black
• Its use level for printing inks is 2-5% for inorganic pigments, 2-5% for titanium dioxide, 4-10% for organic pigments and 4-10% for carbon black.
• It has a shelf life of 36 months.
