BYK® -327

BYK®-327 by BYK is polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane. It is a surface additive for polar solventborne, solvent-free, radiation-curable and aqueous coatings. It shows defoaming effect in floor coatings. It offers improved substrate wetting and achieves excellent leveling. It has no negative effect on foam stabilization. It is suitable for wood-, furniture- and automotive coatings. BYK®-327 is designed for use in both water-based and solventborne OPVs in can coatings and 2-component polyaspartic systems for industrial coatings. It is especially recommended for floor coatings based on 2-component epoxy and polyurethane. It is partially suitable for clear coat systems. The dosage level of the grade is 0.05-0.5% as supplied based on total formulation.
