Rheovis® AS 1130

Rheovis® AS 1130 by BASF is a highly effective rheology-control agent for a wide range of water-based coatings. Provides neutralization with a base and imparts strong shear thinning characteristics.

Offers an advantageous thixotropic behavior giving non-stringy formulations that are easy to apply over a wide range of speeds and processes.
It is an alkali swellable emulsion type thickener (ASE).
This pseudoplastic nature gives formulators a cost effective way to improve the anti-settling and sag resistance without compromising leveling & film build.
Exhibits good viscosity stability after tinting, low VOC content, APEO-free, heavy-metals-free (e.g. organic tin compounds), solvent-free and very efficient at low dosage.
It is a synthetically derived product, therefore it is less susceptible to microbiological attack than derivatives of cellulose.
It is ideally suitable for airless spray applications.
Used in architectural coatings and waterproofing.
Rheovis® AS 1130 recommended dosage level is 1.0-3.5% based on the total formulation.
