CYMEL® 385

CYMEL® 385 by allnex is methylated high imino melamine resin with a low degree of alkylation. It is recommended as a cross-linking agent for hydroxyl-containing emulsion polymers and other aqueous systems containing hydroxyl or amide functionality. It has a high tendency to self-condense and may be used to increase the hardness and resistance properties of thermoplastic water-borne polymers. CYMEL® 385 resin possesses fast cure response and low formaldehyde release. Recommended for emulsion topcoat systems, non-woven binders and textile coatings. The shelf life of this additive is 180 days.
