SURFYNOL® AS 5140

Surfynol® AS 5140 by Evonik acts as a wetting agent and defoamer. It offers dynamic wetting without generating excess foam over the most difficult surfaces including silicone release liners. It can be easily incorporated into water-based systems. Surfynol® AS 5140 is used in pigment dispersions and paper coatings. It does not contain added mineral oils, hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), alkyl phenol ethoxylates (APEs) or acetylenic diols. It is a low odor surfactant and provides excellent surface tension reduction. Its recommended usage is between 0.1 and 1.0 % of total formulation weight. It is in compliance with US FDA 21CFR 175.105, Swiss Ordinance SR 817.023.21 and China GB9685-2016 regulations. It is listed on EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, ENCS, TCCL, PICCS and IECSC chemical inventories. It has a shelf life of 24 months.
