SURFYNOL® 440

SURFYNOL® 440 by Evonik is a very good substrate wetting agent that offers good foam control with moderate solubility in aqueous systems. It is designed for waterborne coatings and inks. It offers dynamic surface tension reduction, wetting of low-energy and contaminated substrates. It provides an anti-crater effect, flow promotion, reduction of static and dynamic surface tension. It is compatible with solvent-borne, 2-pack 100%, clear- and pigment coatings. It is partly compatible with radiation-curing. It finds application in general industrial-, wood coatings, architectural paints and printing inks. SURFYNOL® 440 has a recommended dosage of 0.1-1.5% of total formulation.
