DISPERBYK® -118

DISPERBYK® -118 by BYK is a solvent-borne, solution of polymeric phosphoric acid ester-based dispersing- and wetting agent. It stabilizes acidic, neutral and basic titanium dioxides.

It is extremely well suited for use with fillers, matting agents, inorganic colored pigments, transparent iron oxides, and effect pigments.
It reduces the mill base viscosity and haze in coating system.
It increases gloss possesses no negative impact on adhesion.
DISPERBYK® -118 is used in industrial coatings, wood and furniture coatings, protective coatings and automotive coatings.
Also suitable for food contact printing inks.
Recommended dosage levels are 3-6% for inorganic pigments, 1-2.5% for titanium dioxides, 0.5-2.5% for effect pigments and 0.5-2.0% for fillers.
It has a shelf life of 36 months.
