Attagel® 50

Attagel® 50 by BASF is an inert powdered gelling grade of attapulgite clay. It acts as a rheology modifier. It is finely pulverized to effectively form colloidal gels in ionic and non-ionic aqueous solutions to provide thixotropic thickening and suspension.

• Attagel® 50 is recommended for paint and coatings applications where sag resistance, spatter control and syneresis control are required.
• It can impart thickening and suspension when dispersed with an appropriate surfactant in most organic liquid systems.
• Suggested applications include architectural coatings, EIFS and automotive refinishing.
