CHS-Alkyd SU 621 N 50

An air-drying alkyd resin-urethanised polyester of pentaerythritol and phthalic acid modified by 62% soyabean oil fatty acids, delivered as low viscous 50% solution in dearomatized white spirit (aromatics content less then 1%). Used as a binder for solventborne coatings applications for manufacturing of fast air-drying coatings with outstanding hardness, gloss retention and weather-resistance, especially in the preparation of enamels and transparent varnishes on wood surfaces for indoor and outdoor applications. Dries, in combination with suitable driers by oxypolymerization. Shows solubility in xylene, toluene, butyl acetate, white spirit, and miscibility with long and medium oil length alkyd resins, maleic resins and amino resins and limited with short oil length alkyd resins. Its shelf life is 6 months.
