X-22-174BX is a medium chain length, single-end methacrylic-based, modified silicone resin by Shin-Etsu. It is used together with solvent-based acrylic resin. It shows excellent radical copolymerizability. It offers improved releasability, adhesion, high hardness, weatherability and room temperature curability. It provides good heat-, wear- & water resistance. It imparts water repellency & flexibility. It is recommended for heavy duty anti-corrosion, exterior building (chemical plant) and automotive paint (car, train). It is listed in TSCA. The dosage level of X-22-174BX is 0.5-20%.
