KR-272 by Shin-Etsu is a methyl/phenyl-based silicone resin. It imparts excellent heat resistance, high mechanical strength and low hardness. It offers good luster. It is used in coating applications. It has a slow cure speed (cure temperature of 250°C and cure time of 60 minutes). KR-272 shows medium compatibility with organic resins. It does not easily breakdown or carbonize even at 250°C. It can be emulsified in xylene. It is classified under UN-1866 specification.
